Toy Safety Disclaimer
Toy Safety Disclaimer
KitchenWithMommy.com cannot guarantee that any toy is safe for a specific child. Always check official age ratings, small-parts and choking-hazard warnings, recall notices, and supervision needs.
Age ratings
Manufacturer age labels are the authoritative source of toy age-suitability. They reflect developmental appropriateness, choking-hazard risk, and physical safety considerations that we cannot evaluate from a product listing alone. If a child in the household is younger than the labeled age, keep the toy out of reach.
Small parts and choking
Standard small-parts test cylinders define what is considered a choking hazard for under-3 children. Where you see our “small parts concern: high” suggestions, we assume a household with under-3 children present and recommend stricter selection.
Recalls
Toy recalls happen. Check official recall feeds (such as those published by national consumer-product safety authorities in your jurisdiction) before purchase and periodically afterward. Stop using any recalled toy immediately.
Supervision
Even toys marketed as “safe” require adult supervision for younger children. Adults should inspect toys regularly for damage (cracked plastic, loose magnets, broken batteries) and discard immediately if compromised.
Magnets, batteries, button cells
High-powered magnets and button-cell batteries pose ingestion risks with potentially severe consequences. We do not promote such products in young-child categories.
